Plastering in Sutton Coldfield

Most walls don't need a full re-plaster. Cracks, dents, holes left by shelves and TV brackets, and small areas of blown plaster can be cut back and patched so the repair sits flush with the rest of the wall. Once it is painted you shouldn't be able to see where it was.

Where a wall or ceiling is sound but uneven, marked or covered in old repairs, a skim coat gives a fresh, smooth finish ready for decorating. Skimming is quicker and less disruptive than stripping a room back, and it's often the best option for older Sutton Coldfield and Erdington homes with tired but solid walls.

When plaster has lost its key, is crumbling or has been damaged by water, patching won't last. In that case we remove the failed plaster and build the wall back up properly.
